Jake Muller Named National Merit Semi-Finalist

It was announced this week that Jake Muller (Class '13) son of Charlie and Kimberly Muller, brother to Haley Muller (Class '15) was awarded National Merit Semi-Finalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Jake joins a chorus of TFA students who have been selected as National Merit Scholars.
The National Merit Scholarship annually recognizes only a few top students across the country based upon performance on the PSAT. TFA students grades 8-11 take the PSAT in October. For students grade 8-10 it is considered to be good practice for the SAT test which is a college entrance standard. However, for 11th graders, the PSAT is important because of the National Merit Scholarship Program. Scoring well on this test propels 11th graders' college prospects.
Jake's academic success is certainly meritorious and TFA is very proud of him. Congratulations, Jake!
